Will it be a showdown or a gong show?

Ok, maybe they're not showdowns..but there are two meetings I'm attending in the next month or so that are going to be complete gong shows. The first one takes place tonite, me and my mom (who are in charge of the food for three Ukrainian Camps) are being told that we must attend this meeting tonite to 'straighten out some things'. Straighten out some things?!?! We've been doing this job for three years now and there have never been any problems.

A. We are told that there are complaints because we once served soup on a hot day. My arguments for this are:
1. 'Do you drink coffee on a hot day?
2. Its not like we only offer soup as the main meal...its usually soup and sandwiches so the kid has a choice.
3. We have no way of predicting how hot its going to be when we start making lunch for 300 kids at 9 am...but give us a TV with satellite or cable for the weather channel and we won't make soup when its hot.

B. They also want us to give them an exact meal plan. This doesn't work because we make our meals according to what produce is in stock at that time. We don't buy all our produce for the two weeks at once because the camp does not have the proper facilities. We usually tell them the type of food we will be serving over the week and that it follows the Canadian food health guide...but apparently thats not good enough.

C. And finally, they want us to make food for the kids at only 8$/day/kid. (we are at 10$) Yeah, are they insane?!? The only other catering company that would do this says they'll charge 25$/day/kid and that they cook all the food for the day in winnipeg and then ship it in the morning...so basically the kids are going to eat a dinner thats been sitting in a warmer for 12 hours...hmmmm delicious!

My counter argument to this is that we raise our price to 12/day/kid and say 'take it or we walk'...I live for negotiations like that but my mom is too nice...(but if there is too much bullshit going on, she will walk out)

And then we're going to listen to the heads from the three camps (who all hate each other) argue amonst themselves for a couple hours...it should be a fun meeting...

The second meeting is the MTHF AGM, which will be a complete and utter gong show...so, if you play handball and like a good pointless meeting with lots of slander and fighting...you're free to come! (July 4th @7:00 I think) I'll explain more about this meetings shinanigans later...
