Horray for the Underdogs!

So, as most of you probably have heard from me...I coach the SMBs --- which is a Womans B League team in the Winnipeg Team Handball League. We finished the season in third place and were to play the second place team in the semi finals. Games are best of three and our first game we just dominated winning 13 - 8 (which is great considering we haven't defeated this team once this year)

The second game was bright and early this morning and the girls got off to a very shaky start. By the half we were down two...then were up by three in the second and finished the game tied.

Now, a winner needs to be determined so we went into overtime...two five minute halfs...at the end, still tied so we went into another five minute half...tied.

So, now each team is to select their five top shooters and we go to a shootout. After five shooters both goalies only let in one goal each...tied again. So we go into a sudden death shootout, their shooter misses and our shooter scores...so we win! giddy up! We all pile up and jump on each other like we won the superbowl and I start crying cause I'm stupid that way.... and now we're going to finals as the definete underdogs!
