Part 1: Havin fun and stayin in shape.

The first few days of our trip were very good. I only lost my camera once (I found it though, left it on the bus...brilliant.) and only 'thought' I lost my passport once…

It was my brothers first time on a plane so they were going through the ‘stages’ as they called it. The first was excitement “woo we’re going on a plane”, the second was denial “I’m not scared”, the third was fear “holy @(! I’m getting on a plane” and the fourth (which we didn’t get to thank goodness) was puking. They both did very well.

I went to what I like to call “the happiest place on Earth” (well, it’s a close second to my hometown...which I normally dub the happiest place on Earth cause I live there). What is this place you ask? It is Saw Grass Mills outlet mall. Amazing. I bought 8 shirts/dresses for 30 bucks. Who does that? My word. And as if I need more clothes right Jaimiesson? Hahaha.

My brother Chris also scored…its hard not too with amazing stores like Lacoste and Banana Republic are at discount prices. (which I also bought things at….hahaha…more clothes)

Our driver was this firecracker of a lady named Jessica who was originally from Puerto Rico. Not only was she fantastic at telling stories but she drove like a bat outta hell on those turnpikes.

I told my ladies at home that I would be all fat and slow for handball when I got back...but as you can see, I seem to have found a 'loop hole'...I can drink and be active at the same time whilllle still looking classy.

hahaha..ok, maybe not classy...

More to come. :)

My Favorite Little Guy

Is Duran, my little cousin who just turned 3. He is related to me from both my mom and my dads side (his dad is cousins with my dad and his mom is cousins with my mom). This little guy is by far one of the brightest and insightful little kids and as everyone knows I love kids.

What I love most about kids is their honesty. Although sometimes brutal, its always refreshing to interact with young children cause they don't know the pros and cons of being dishonest yet. Unfortunately, it is a trait that everyone learns as they mature.

Having progressed from being a kid (being 25, I'm obviously not a kid anymore) I'm amazed by how many 'adults' I know that have lost their ability to be honest with people and more importantly with themselves. So many people try to be things that they are not. They copy a look or attitude because they think its how to fit in with the rest of society rather than just being themselves. There are people who become 'doctors' or 'lawyers' or other professional types because they are taken in by the status and the monitary awards instead of because that is what makes them truely happy...to me, this isn't how to live life, there is more to life than status and money...where's the fun? the excitement? the joy? Its definetly not there when you finally realize that all the hard work you put into something was for the wrong reasons because you never actually took the time to listen to yourself all those years ago when you were young.

I'm sometimes seen as 'kid like' but I've come to the realization that its because I am myself and the Heather I was as a kid is the Heather I am now.

I'm someone who has the capasity to think, yet usually does whatever my stubborn heart/gut tells me to do. I'm very in tune with who I am and I know what/who makes me happy but am also never afraid to take a leap of faith or a risk. I find when I think, I over think so its best to keep the thinking for academic purposes and just do what feels right to me. I find when I make my life plans too rigid, it leads to disappointment so I always have 'goals' but the particulars as to how I get to achieve them I leave hidden for me to discover along the way. Afterall, life is all about the journey.

So, Happy Birthday Duran! You have a fun and exciting journey ahead of you!

Jaimie's Mulligan!

Happy Birthday Jaimie! Well, happy very belated birthday because it was on December 21st...but with the Christmas and New Year plans and having to sit in my box for two months, well, we kinda didn't get a chance to get out for a night on the town.

So now we did! Jaimie, Di, Carrie and Me went to Coyotes and then to Dylans for some drinkin, dancin, and handball back bonding (we're all backs on the wildcats).

Me and my buddy Jaimie...sure we look sweet...but who knew that only 5 hours later I'd clock her in the head with a kg of cat food. (which you deserved Jaimiessson!) hahahahahaa!
