bruiser...

Here I am being a dork again, showing off my bruises that I got on the weekend. Despite the speculations I got from the Nurses when I donated blood yesterday, my bruises are not from my 'abusive pseudo boyfriend'...they're from handball and those who bruise easily and play handball can relate to these bad boys...

Showin off the elbow scrap/forearm bruise combo...

My face looks retarded in this one...I think its funny.

And I'm showing off the ever-so-common finger marks on the bicep.

Yeah, thats all I got for today...ok...maybe not. Not shown are the bruises on my hip and my left ass cheek that got totally charlie horsed on sunday.

Uber busy!

Hey folks! I know, its been a long while but I had a super super busy week that I like to call:

"The week that wouldn't end"

The week was so long in fact that it was actually two weeks in duration...but I will just call it one really long week.

Which makes for one really long post...so bare with me.

First up, I had a sale this weekend which I have spent the last two weeks preparing for. The sale wasn't as successful as it has been in previous years, (the weather was soooo beautiful - I would have rather been outside too if I had my way) but it was still a success!

My thoughts on my sale and the issues that surronded it:

I'm not happy with the postal service: You suck!!! So, NONE of my orders that I had placed for supplies three weeks prior to my event showed up on time. Two still haven't showed up and one showed up the nite before my show (but I had to go out of my way to pick it up...thanks UPS) Apparently, because I live on a flood plain, this MUST mean that you can't get to my town because of flood waters...which is news to me cause I drive into Winnipeg sometimes twice daily.

No, you can't buy my display: I had over 100 offers for my Ikea Lamp and my other display units that I use in my booth set up....I know next time to have a few extra lamps, olive bowls, and cheap floral arrangements in stock so I can sell them....lol

Cute little girls: As previously mentioned...biological clock is ticking and I've determined that I would like a little girl of my own someday. In the meantime...I appear to have a soft spot for them and am giving away my jewelry to sad little girls who have moms who don't wanna buy a 5 dollar ring or pendant for their little cuties.

No, my jewelry is not editable: That one is self explanatory.

Copy cat lady: This woman came into my booth, started talking 'shop' with me...using all these technical 'by the book' jewelry and bead making terms and I think mostly confused and uh...yeah, I was just confused. You see, I don't talk shop cause I don't know any technical terms really. Basically everything I know and do has been self taught or 'discovered' through my own trial and error...The peyote technique? What? I must be a big fan of who? What? She then stood at my booth and was drawing diagrams of my designs...apparently she doesn't have an ounce of creativity of her own and must learn everything from books and other peoples imaginations...

So, I'm a pretty big gym rat these days which means that I need gym rat clothes. I am now addicted to the following clothing:

Under Armour:
www.underarmour.com
Why have I not discovered you before this month Under Armour? You are fantastic and feel smooth and I love you.

There I go again with being a mushy pool of love...

25 till I'm 25!

Yep, 25 days till I celebrate my 25th birthday (also known as "the day the world became a better place") hahahaha...ok, maybe not...maybe not...

I'm excited to hit 25 actually...I look back at the last 25 years or so of my life and it makes me realize all the great things I've done and great people I've met. I'm looking forward to the next 25 years and can only begin to imagine being 50 and looking back at all the amazing things I've accomplished.

I look forward to:

Keeping Healthy - I've developed a really healthy lifestyle over the past few months. I go to the gym daily and eat very healthy. I also have cut back on the 'party life' a bit and of course will never do any drugs. I like it so much that I have to admit...I'm addicted to it. This is an addiction that is definetly not a bad one though :)

Growing my Empire - My business is very successful and I'm ready to commit a little more time to it in hopes to take it to the next level. Franchising perhaps?

Having a Family - whoa...never thought I'd type that, or think, and I just said it a out loud and laughed a bit...I've reached a point in my life where I am actually looking to commit to a relationship and eventually have little rug rats...3 of them...and some cats.

Teaching - I think its wrong to keep talents to yourself so I look forward to teaching what I know to others. I already volunteer at schools during the day but I'm starting to give guitar lessons, for free of course cause getting money is not as important as giving yourself.

Learning - I believe we're put on the Earth to learn as much as you humanly can. I've learned a lot in the past 25 years and most recently have learned a lot about myself that I never thought I'd be able to pull out of my stubborn soul...I look forward to a life time of learning.

Loving - And heres to loving live - with its ups and downs and loving the people I share it with.

Man, I'm a giant pool of cheezy love today...lmao...

Cheers folks, have a great weekend!

Weekend Thoughts...

well, another weekend is coming to a close and heres the Heather low-down:

We Won! - My sexy Wildcat team won our semi final matches against Slingers this weekend. They were great games, the team played as a team and our moral was high. Kudos to Slingers for giving us two great games, but I didn't appreciate the eye gouge or my new 'crack whore' arms. (little bruises everywhere from finger tips)...but then again to play handball is to have bruises where you shouldn't have bruises...

Songs! - Well, I've had "Its Peanut Butter Jelly Time, Peanut Butter Jelly Time" in my head for the past three days thanks to Jaimie and I've determined that there are more lyrics to 'Why can't we be friends' than just...well, "Why Can't We Be Friends, Why Can't We Be Friends, Why Can't We Be Friends, Why Can't We Be Friends" which I started singing during the Elite mens semi finals because they were roughin each other up quite nicely.

HERE are the actual lyrics to Why Can't We Be Friends

Who Knew?!? I'll have to brush up on the lyrics so I can sing them at karaoke next time.

Which brings me to...

Karaoke Nite: At my bar this friday, ridiculous gong show as always...no crazy bar fights but I did hear the WORST rendition of The Lion Sleeps Tonite in my life.

April Fool: Yep, I was a total April fool. My friend Will got me super good. He told me he had this crazy nite of drugs and action the nite before and I actually believed him (although I slighly shocked and wasn't particularily impressed) Then he told me he got a tattoo last week and thats when I knew he was bluffin me cause there was no way that could ever happen.

Sexy Saturday: Dunno why, but I was sexy on saturday...how you ask? I have no idea...I'm still trying to figure it out.

Coaching is Over: My girls that I coach lost in semi-finals this weekend, close games but we just couldn't pull out the wins...and in game two I was tearing up because they were trying so hard but just not being as successful as they wanted to be...

Which brings me to....

I'm A Girl: Who knew?!? Once a tomboy, always a tomboy is what I thought but I've been getting 'girly' as of late. I wear a 'little' more makeup than I use to (which was no makeup) although its only mascara and neutral eyeshadow...its a start. I'm starting to cry at the stupidest things, like at the Olympics, TV shows, Commercials, People....and I feel like such a tool. Lastly, I like babies. Nuff said.

Shopping: Oh, Oh! And I love shopping these days...I'm currently in love with cute blazers and skirts with cute sandals (my spring look I've determined)...(sigh)

Thats all! Have a great week!
