Hey folks! I know, its been a long while but I had a super super busy week that I like to call:
"The week that wouldn't end"The week was so long in fact that it was actually two weeks in duration...but I will just call it one really long week.
Which makes for one really long post...so bare with me.
First up, I had a sale this weekend which I have spent the last two weeks preparing for. The sale wasn't as successful as it has been in previous years, (the weather was soooo beautiful - I would have rather been outside too if I had my way) but it was still a success!
My thoughts on my sale and the issues that surronded it:I'm not happy with the postal service: You suck!!! So, NONE of my orders that I had placed for supplies three weeks prior to my event showed up on time. Two still haven't showed up and one showed up the nite before my show (but I had to go out of my way to pick it up...thanks UPS) Apparently, because I live on a flood plain, this MUST mean that you can't get to my town because of flood waters...which is news to me cause I drive into Winnipeg sometimes twice daily.
No, you can't buy my display: I had over 100 offers for my Ikea Lamp and my other display units that I use in my booth set up....I know next time to have a few extra lamps, olive bowls, and cheap floral arrangements in stock so I can sell them....lol
Cute little girls: As previously mentioned...biological clock is ticking and I've determined that I would like a little girl of my own someday. In the meantime...I appear to have a soft spot for them and am giving away my jewelry to sad little girls who have moms who don't wanna buy a 5 dollar ring or pendant for their little cuties.
No, my jewelry is not editable: That one is self explanatory.
Copy cat lady: This woman came into my booth, started talking 'shop' with me...using all these technical 'by the book' jewelry and bead making terms and I think mostly confused and uh...yeah, I was just confused. You see, I don't talk shop cause I don't know any technical terms really. Basically everything I know and do has been self taught or 'discovered' through my own trial and error...The peyote technique? What? I must be a big fan of who? What? She then stood at my booth and was drawing diagrams of my designs...apparently she doesn't have an ounce of creativity of her own and must learn everything from books and other peoples imaginations...
So, I'm a pretty big gym rat these days which means that I need gym rat clothes. I am now addicted to the following clothing:
Under Armour:

Why have I not discovered you before this month Under Armour? You are fantastic and feel smooth and I love you.
There I go again with being a mushy pool of love...
